Baby Showers

Our first Missouri baby shower was hosted by Hope at the end of September. We had a Guys & Girls shower at Trailhead in St Charles, and it was so much fun! We had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends, and got lots of cute baby girl things. Thanks Hope for a great shower!

Some of my fellow nurses hosted a shower for us the first weekend in October. Mom and Dad were able to come up for a visit that weekend, so while Dad and Dave were working, Mom, Hope and I went to the shower. Thank you so much to Tonya for opening her home to all of us, and to Tracy, Ashley, and Stephanie for helping out. It was a lot of fun and the food was excellent!!

Some of the Glennon Girls - I am so lucky to work with such a great group of people =)

Mom likes to take picutes of me from the side when I'm not paying attention so its easier to see my belly. So, here is one of her efforts ... and me doing the typical pregnant lady pose.

August...

To continue the rest of our summer events and into the fall.... things were a little calmer in August. This worked out quite well, because I became VERY sick for about two weeks, and we found ourselves with a short admission to the labor and delivery unit. All was fine, just some dehydration from an unpleasant stomach bug. The highlight of the ordeal was that we got to scope out our hospital first hand, and we were very pleased with it. Nice doctors, nurses, and a pretty comfortable room ... Dave even fits on the pull out couch!! Overall the entire pregnancy has been very smooth and uneventful. Other than our hospital visit, the only thing I've had problems with is low iron ... just love those iron pills. (yuck!)

My 30th birthday was at the end of the month, which meant a visit from my parents, a fun party with our friends (thank you Dave!) and working on the nursery!

Getting ready to paint the nursery: Dad and Dave got to paint while Mom and I went for manicure/pedicures. =)

And now its green!

Dad had never been to Babies R' Us, so we decided a trip to the superstore was in order.
Checking out the Pack n' play aisle:

The Birthday Party: Thank you to all our friends and family that came out to help us celebrate; it was a great birthday!!
