The 'BooBoo Shoe'

So, pictures are a bit hard to come by these days. Why, you ask? Because I DROPPED our camera. On the tile floor. I knew it was over as it went bouncing along end over end. Emerson had put her baby doll in her booster seat at the kitchen table and was 'feeding' her, and I thought 'I have got to get a picture of this.' And, then I dropped it. Oh well. *sigh*

In other news, Gigi (my mom) had foot surgery last Friday. She had her postop check up today, and is doing very well. My nursing skills are coming in handy and she has been a very good patient. She can't walk on it for awhile and she can't drive for an even longer while, so she is confined to the house with me and the kids these days. Lucky Gigi. =) She has to wear a boot on her right foot at all times, and Emerson refers to it as her 'boo boo shoe' ... its hilarious. One day I will post a picture of it.

There's No Place Like Home....

Yes, I know it is December ... but I love this Halloween picture. Well, as most of you know (and some of you may not), we are now living in Texas. =) Obviously I have not done a very good job of keeping up with the blog .. New Year's Resolution 2011. If I get a head start maybe I'll actually get it done!

Anyway, we are living north of Dallas/Ft Worth (where I grew up), and having lots of fun catching up with old friends, making new ones, and spending time with family. We miss life in Missouri, but we are enjoying this new chapter in our lives, and we are finally starting to get settled.

Its been a crazy couple of months, and there is much more to come  .. so stay tuned. =)
